knowing what John had done when John was coming back from his wife's school he stopped by at a restaurant and bought himself a generous portion of fried rice and fried chicken and a bottle of red wine to go with it he also called the general manager to excuse himself graciously he was given another week to put himself together and resume work effectively with that off his neck John sat in the living room and played loud music and started eating the food that he bought as he was busy eating and drinking in the living room his wife stormed in like a police officer who had come to make an arrest her eyes appeared bloodshot like someone who had been crying for a long time John knew why she was tensed as soon as Miriam entered the room she went straight to the music player and turned it off John didn't say anything in reply but continued eating his chicken as if nothing was happening in the living room she reigned all sort of insult on John for going behind her back to resign her job for her until that moment she didn't know that John got his job back and she was not aware that he had so much money in his bank account she was still busy calling him a jobless man John did not reply but kept eating the food in a way that made Miriam to be more irritated I said you should start talking why did you write a resignation letter for me and submit it at my workplace without my approval are you out of your mind the fact that you have no money has it also made you mad how can you resign my job for me is it your job did you get the job for me so you want me to be jobless like you so that I'll be staying idle like you your plan will not work cuz you're going back to my proprietor and letting him know that the whole plan was executed by you without my approval and if you don't do it at this moment this house will not contain the two of us Miriam said she was backing like a dangerous dog but John paid her no attention he drank his wine ate his food as if no one else was in the living room with him and that was a very painful reaction for Miriam because she expected him to react she moved fast to where John was sitting and slapped him you think I'm joking I told you I will scattering the food and the bottle of wine the bottle broke into pieces Miriam picked one of the broken parts of the bottle and held it to John's face start talking Miriam said but John was still silent there was a knock at the door Miram went to open the door she saw a beautiful young woman who walked into the living room without even asking Miriam questions my love what is happening are you okay why is the room scattered the lady asked John who stood up to hug her and they kissed Miram was shocked young lady who are you and why are you kissing my husband in my presence Miriam asked I'm Nea they've told me a lot about you but I'm here to put you in your place NECA responded without an a of fear as she took John and they left the living room leaving Miriam in shock before John lost his job he often went to a restaurant to eat during lunch break at walk that was where he met Nea who was the restaurant manager he had often admired Nea secretly but he restrained himself because as at then he thought it would be wrong to be involved with her when he was still married to Miriam but after Miriam showed him wickedness during his trying moment he became closer to next on the days that Miriam refused to feed him when he was jobless John would usually go to the restaurant and he would be serve free food the relationship blossomed and after that John asked her to be his girlfriend John had made everything known to NECA including the ugly situation in his marriage he had informed NECA of his plans to end the marriage between him and Miriam as soon as he found a new job and could take care of his children without his wife wife's help NECA herself was desperate to have a man in her life she was 35 years old and had a thriving business she opened her arms and and she stormed out of the living room John and Nea secretly went to town and bought a house John provided the money and the house was equipped with all the things they would need for Comfort I'm happy that our plans are working out well John said to Nea as they inspected the building he was very happy to become a house owner he planned to abandon his wife in the other apartment and leave her to battle with the landlord he only picked his credentials from the apartment and that of his children and vowed never to return to the house when he went to pick his children from school in the afternoon he drove them to the new house he changed their wardrobe and bought everything new for them later in the evening the landlord came with the police and met only Miriam at home this is the room arrest whoever you see inside this tenant attacked me with pepper when I came to collect my rent arrest him and whoever is inside the landlord said Miriam heard his voice and came out what is going on I gave my husband the rent to pay you didn't he pay you she asked he didn't give me anything and he even poured pepper into my eyes I've been in the hospital since then officer arrest this woman the landlord said angry really but I was not the one who attacked you it was my husband don't worry when we arrest you your husband will come the police said as he took Miriam into their van and they zoomed off Miriam spent 3 days in detention and John refused to go to the police station to bail her the police also refused to Grant her bail because the landlord said his a standing rent must be paid before peace Would Rain he insisted on John coming to the police station for possible detention and John refused to act despite pleas from relatives who advised him to go and bail his wife and PID the house rent you have to go and bail her after all she's the mother of your children and there's no way you can deny that besides you and your children also lived in the apartment so technically you are the one who should pay the house rent Nea said to John one night as they were about to sleep you need to to hear what people are saying about you they saying that you sent your wife away and married another woman some are even say that I'm the one that snatched you from your wife I want you to go and bail her out please and also pay the rent they already giving me a bad name because of it please do me the favor and bail her it will make me happy Nea pleaded with John while lying on his chest these people that are gossiping where were they when I was going through trying time why have they remembered to gossip now that I have money in my pocket I'm not going to that police station let them come to my house and arrest me John said to NECA all right if you're not going to the police station at least send the house rent to the landlord I'm sure if you do that he will tell them to release her the rent is the major issue can you please send it Nea pleaded with John all right I'm going to pay the rent tomorrow morning because of you and I must say you have a very kind heart despite all you know about Miriam you are still thinking good for her I suffered a lot of humiliation in the hands of that woman I don't even want to see her again she's such a devil I'm happy I lost my job because he made me realize the person I've been married to all these years John lamented the next morning John made the transfer of the house rent to the landlord and just like Nea said Miriam was released her first part of call was John's house her children were already at school when she came the years you've been my wife and thank you for the beautiful children you gave me our marriage was not a waste after all you can always visit them when you want but I cannot allow you to raise them because you are too toxic John said as Miriam took her leave the moral lesson of this story reminds our women that your husband is still the man of the house even if he lost his job and is unable to provide for the family temporarily support him and stand by him until he finds his feet again especially if you're married to a good man make sure you stand by him hard times don't last forever
